Terms of Service

1. The service

KernelFold AI ("KernelFold", "we") provides a multi-model AI orchestration platform: a chat interface and an API that route your requests across third-party AI models, verify results, and return synthesized answers. The set of available models changes over time as providers release, update, and retire models.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password and API keys secret. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Plans, tokens, and billing

• Plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Each plan grants a monthly token allowance that resets each billing cycle; unused tokens do not roll over.
• We never bill overages — when your tokens run out, requests are declined until you upgrade or your allowance resets.
• You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, including a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription.
• Prices and allowances may change; we will give notice before changes apply to an existing subscription.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use KernelFold to:

• violate any law, or infringe others' rights (including intellectual-property and privacy rights);
• generate malware, or content intended for fraud, harassment, or exploitation of minors;
• attempt to breach, probe, or overload our systems or those of our upstream providers, or circumvent rate limits, token accounting, or safety measures;
• resell the service or share one account across an organization without our agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

5. Your content and AI output

You retain ownership of the prompts and files you submit. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service — to store your content, transmit it to the upstream model providers our router selects, and display results back to you. As between you and KernelFold, you own the output generated for you, to the extent permitted by law and by upstream providers' terms.

AI output can be wrong.KernelFold's verification pipeline reduces — but cannot eliminate — errors and hallucinations. Output is provided for your evaluation and is not professional (legal, medical, financial) advice. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on or publishing it.

6. API use

API keys are personal to your account and may be scoped. Automated usage is subject to the same acceptable-use rules, your plan's token allowance, and published rate limits. We may throttle abusive traffic to protect the platform.

7. Availability

We engineer for resilience (automatic failover across providers), but the service depends on third-party providers and is offered "as is" without an uptime guarantee. Live health is published on the status page.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the service for material breach of these terms, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the product (with reasonable notice and, where required, a pro-rated refund for a discontinued paid period).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you (email or in-product) at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
